Inspected in May of 2007. Resort was in fine condition with everything
operating smoothly. What is unique about Grand Lido Braco is that is
sits adjacent to their 9 hole golfcourse. This provides acres of space
to erect air conditioned tents. We saw one of these tents on our inspection
tour. Very comfortable. In the past, GLB has hosted large gatherings,
including a recent private party that brought in the group Kiss for a
special performance, I can say no more.
First day dawns bright and sunny, asked the boat guy, Joseph, if he
wouldn't mind taking me out on one of those really cool looking hobie
cats? Without further ado, we launched across the clear warm caribbean
waters at a nice clip. I have always wanted to try a hobie cat and now
this chance to sail in one of the most beautiful areas of the world.
Joseph explained the basics and then I took over. What a thrill, the
trade winds were picking up a little and now we were really flying. It
was like sailing on the face of a fire opal with shades of blue and green,
the ocean spraying me and cooling me, we leaned way back totally in the
moment. What an experience, I won't soon forget. Thanks, Joseph.
