Making Jamaica Jerk The making of jamaican jerk seasoning. We visited and lunched at famous Walkerswood farm outside of Ocho Rios. They make an incredible selection of jerk seasoning, chutneys and sauces. Well worth a visit if you are in the area. Working farm where they actually grow the main ingredients of their products. You can even take cooking lessons there.
wa goan man? Met this wood carver, Jama, on the beach who was trying to explain the local patoise dialect to me. The words are wa goan mon....which means. What's going on. They shorten every word they can and then say it real fast. When they actually speak slow you can kinda understand them.
rural jamaica This was a part of the Walkerswood tour. Lady shows off the tools used by early Jamaicans who lived in rural settings. Sorry about the lousy sound. Guy was running a lawnmower and we didn't realize it until we got home. You can still here her, though.
dunn's river falls jamaica Jamaica's most famous visitor attraction is the stunning Dunn's River Falls and Beach. Photographed millions of times, Dunn's River was prominently featured in the very first James Bond film, "Dr. No."
